Project Controls Specialist

Please Note: No Third-Party or C2C Firms Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship We are searching for a Project Controls Specialist on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will be joining the Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain Business Unit. You will need to have a strong foundational knowledge of financial principles, eager to apply analytical skills, and learn about the Solar, Battery Storage and Wind Technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with Excel, be highly motivated, detail oriented and comfortable working with financial data to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You are expected to understand Capital Forecasting requirements, financial reporting systems (SAP, BPC, etc.), project safe harbor requirements, incurred spend & cash forecasts, and develop forecast allocation models. Specific responsibilities include coordination with accounting, treasury, supply chain, early- stage construction, and execution teams, hands‑on reporting, detailed analysis of business drivers, financial planning/forecasting, ad‑hoc reporting including development/maintenance of project analytics and reporting tools. 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Capital Forecasts. Analyze financial data and create reports to support business decision-making. Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and organizing relevant financial data. Responsible for monthly accrual process. Support cost and schedule risk analysis and provide input. Performs financial analyses as required by management or regulatory bodies. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budgeted or forecasted figures. Build and maintain financial models in Excel to analyze trends and project future performance. Create and update Excel spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting purposes. Accurately tracks costs of individual projects and forecasts end of project spend to keep costs within budget. Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for senior management. Performs accounting unitization activities to ensure SOX Compliance and accurate reporting of assets. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, 5 years’ experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualizations. Basic understanding of financial statements and financial reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with SAP, BOBJ, and Power BI. Able to work independently and follow processes. Able to reach out and ask questions to people when needed. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $35.00/hr. to $40.00/hr.
