Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused CDL-A Driver to join our team. This is a local driving position with no overnight travel, transporting rental equipment between company branches and customer job sites throughout the region. Drivers operate well-maintained equipment with automatic transmissions and play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Transport portable power and rental equipment safely between company locations and customer sites.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver equipment on time while providing excellent customer service at delivery and pickup locations.
• Explain basic equipment operation and answer customer questions when needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, branch personnel, and customers.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are kept clean and presentable.
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies.

Essential Skills

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle variability in start and end times.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles and transporting equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely load, secure, and transport equipment.
• Dependable with strong attention to safety and detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift or equipment operation experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a direct hire opportunity. Candidates will be driving single cab, automatic trucks and will report to the shop in the morning, returning at the end of the day. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility for variable start and end times. The work area covers eastern NY, north of Orange County, western Massachusetts, and western Vermont.

This is a Permanent position based out of Latham, NY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Latham,NY.
