Industrial / Construction Instrument Fitter & Safety System LeadWe are seeking an experienced Industrial / Construction Instrument Fitter & Safety System Lead to support ongoing industrial project work in the Carlsbad, NM area. This role is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, testing of instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical instrumentation experience and a proven commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and productivity.Instrument Fitter & Technical DutiesInstall and bend tubing for process equipment and instrumentation systemsRead and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and pneumatic schematicsSupport commissioning and startup activities for process systemsEnsure proper installation of safety instrumented systems (SIS)Instrument Safety System LeadershipLead implementation of site safety systems and proceduresConduct daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses (JHAs)Ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standardsIdentify and mitigate hazards in real time on active job sitesMentor crews on safe work practices and procedural complianceConstruction Support & LeadershipCoordinate with supervisors and other tradesOversee instrument fitter crews in the fieldVerify quality control and installation standards are metSupport scheduling and workflow coordination on rotating shiftsRequirements5+ years of industrial instrument fitter experience. Preferred knowledge/experience in group bending and bending order changes.Strong background as an instrument fitter in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environmentsExperience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) strongly preferredAbility to read technical drawings, schematics, and loop sheetsProven leadership experience on active construction sitesWillingness to work a 3 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotationMust be able to work in outdoor and industrial environments, including extreme conditionsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experiencePer diem and travel accommodations providedOvertime opportunities during on-rotation periodsRotation schedule: 3 weeks on site / 2 weeks offLong-term project stability with potential for ongoing assignmentsSafety-focused work environment with strong crew leadership support
