Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working directly with K-12 students across multiple school sites in a dynamic setting. As a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll provide essential support to help children reach their fullest potential, working exclusively onsite for the full academic year and beyond. This position allows you to make a difference in the lives of students while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Valid and active South Carolina Physical Therapy license
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric PT setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Adaptability for managing an itinerant caseload across various schools
- Ability to organize your schedule and manage documentation efficiently
Key responsibilities in the role:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students as identified by their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to promote student access and participation
- Assess students’ motor development and functional mobility
- Develop targeted treatment plans and monitor student progress over time
- Engage in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning for student success
- Maintain compliance with all required records and documentation
This unique contract runs through the academic year with an immediate start, offering a 37.5-hour week onsite at different school locations. This is an opportunity to build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff while developing your professional skills in the educational field.
