Resource Nurse Practitioner

This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is assigned to the Cancer Services Medical Oncology clinics. In collaboration with the supervising physician and the administrative supervisor, the NP cares for patients receiving treatment for cancer. The NP provides clinical guidance for patients receiving systemic therapy for cancer including management of treatment toxicities, management of oncologic emergencies, symptom management, care coordination, assistance with triage, and other duties as assigned. Requirements Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master's degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Two (2) years of recent experience as a medical oncology nurse practitioner or successful completion of a 1-year comprehensive oncology NP fellowship program at an academic medical center Preferred Qualifications Three (3) or more years of direct care experience in oncology. AOCNP Certification License / Certification California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Schedule II furnishing privileges NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role Adult Outpatient (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC). California Driver License (if required for position) Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Additional required AHA certifications: None additional to BLS Additional required certifications (such as ENLS): None Salary Information The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
