Join us!Purpose of Job:The Pre Sell Delivery Driver will be responsible for promoting Interstate’s line of products by ensuring accurate and timely delivery of batteries and related materials to dealers.Job Components:Sell new batteries and all battery related product that were pre-soldComplete pre-sale tickets accurately and submit to warehouse in a timely mannerEnsure accurate, timely delivery of new batteries, merchandising fixtures, and all other battery related productsCommunicate effectively, both written and verbal, with Pre Sell Manager, including but not limited to text messages, email, and phone callsAccountable for executing consignment changes, securing recyclable batteries, completing warranty claims, performing battery rotations, collecting cash, and invoicingDeliver new batteriesInvoice all units that fail to last the full warranty periodRotate batteriesCollect junk batteriesCollect moneyMaintain the route by keeping displays clean and keeping dealer list up to dateService each dealerFollow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policiesLoad and unload trucks safely and maintain accurate account of all company assetsEstablish, build and maintain dealer relationshipsFollow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the managerOther duties as assignedQualifications:Two years of relevant customer service experience.High school graduate (or equivalent)Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirementsMust be able to operate a motor vehicle and fork liftAbility to read, write, and do basic mathStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to ensure timely deliveries and efficient route coverageWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems requiredWorking knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners)Scope Data:Will work with customers and dealers on a regular basis.Works independently with limited supervisionUses frequent independent judgement when making decisionsOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitudeWork Environment:Frequent sitting and standingMust have and maintain a valid driver’s licenseExposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicalsSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusConsistent sitting, standing and walkingUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requiredBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbsExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicleOvertime as requiredNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
