Summer Adjunct Faculty Dept of Health Administration

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Position Responsibilities Candidates will serve as part-time faculty, bringing expertise in their field and incorporating relevant real-life examples into the curriculum. Developing course syllabi. Creating, administering, and grading assessments. Answering questions and providing additional support for students. Using Canvas to deliver course content. Holding office hours with frequency and modality as negotiated with the acting program director and department chair. Teaching assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved syllabus and course schedule. Required Qualifications Temporary appointment extended to an expert in a specific field to give instruction in connection with an established program. The appointments are for one (1) academic term at a time and possess no continuing contractual relationship with the University. May teach undergrad courses with Master’s degree in a specified discipline. Can be used for temporary (OPS) faculty titles only. Master’s degree in health administration or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Proficiency in computer software usage and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive). Preferred Qualifications An earned doctorate in Health Administration or a closely related field. Experience in a learning management system (LMS), particularly Canvas. Previous experience teaching at a higher education institution. Compensation Adjunct faculty are paid a minimum of $1,150 per credit hour. Working Hours Part-time; schedule varies. Supervision This is not a supervisory role. Anticipated Start Date 05/04/2026 Statute of Understanding The position requires a background check. In conjunction with the university’s policy, a credit check may also be required.
