Using advanced technology, CRC’s workforce focuses on safely and responsibly supplying affordable energy for California by Californians.The CRC Finance Department is seeking to fill an FP&A Leadership position located in Bakersfield, CA.Responsibilities: Lead consolidated budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial reportingLead consolidated financial reviews, including variance, trend, risk, and opportunity analysisCoordinate, prepare, and review financial materials for executive management and Board presentationsPartner with business units and functional leaders to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial informationPartner with Accounting and corporate functions to align actual results, projections, and key business assumptionsManage annual and quarterly financial close calendars, priorities, and cross-functional deliverablesLead, develop, and mentor finance professionals; review work, set priorities, coordinate inputs, and ensure timely deliveryEnsure FP&A processes and deliverables comply with internal and external control requirementsDrive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, reporting, models, and planning toolsServe as a key financial partner to the VP of Corporate Planning and senior leadershipManage ad hoc financial analyses, reporting requests, and special projects for executive and senior leadershipRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related field, including leading planning and reporting processesExperience with budgeting, forecasting, consolidated financial analysis, and management reportingExperience managing, developing, and reviewing finance professionalsAdvanced financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational informationAdvanced Microsoft Excel and executive-level PowerPoint presentation skillsStrong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and operational drivers of financial performanceAbility to manage concurrent priorities and deliver high-quality work within recurring, time-sensitive reporting cyclesStrong attention to detail and ability to communicate the broader business implications of financial resultsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including with senior and executive leadershipStrong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and proactively resolve issuesPreferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineBackground in Oil & Gas, energy, or another capital-intensive industryCorporate-level FP&A experience, including support for executive leadership and Board reportingFamiliarity with financial planning and reporting systems such as Hyperion/EPM, Oracle, or SAPProficiency with data visualization, BI, and database tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, or SQLKnowledge of long-range planning, corporate guidance, scenario modeling, and strategic financial analysisJob SummaryRequisition Number: FPASE001297Job Category: FinanceSchedule: Full-Time
