Position Summary The IT Support Specialist helps keep the Washington Pavilion's technology systems and infrastructure running smoothly by providing technical support to staff and maintaining a wide range of systems, including computers, networks, servers, business applications, audiovisual equipment, point-of-sale systems, and digital signage. Working closely with the IT team and Managed Service Provider (MSP), this role supports daily operations, technology projects, and initiatives that improve security, reliability, and the user experience across the organization. Provide technical support for hardware, software, printers, copiers, network connectivity, mobile devices, and user technology issues. Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain computers and peripheral equipment. Support and maintain network infrastructure, servers, audiovisual systems, digital signage, point-of-sale systems, meeting room technology, and related business systems. Administer user accounts, permissions, licensing, and system access. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment deployment and account provisioning. Assist with technology upgrades, maintenance, cybersecurity initiatives, disaster recovery efforts, and system improvement projects. Create and maintain technical documentation, inventories, knowledge base resources, and training materials. Assist with technology inventory, purchasing, vendor coordination, and asset management. Support technology needs for meetings, events, and organizational projects. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. IT education, certifications, or related experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, Windows Server (2012 and newer), SharePoint Online, Active Directory, and basic networking. Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Physical & Other Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform equipment installation and maintenance activities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Occasional evening and weekend work required. Participate in the on-call rotation with the Systems Administrator, providing after-hours support for scheduled maintenance, events, and critical system outages.
