Be part of a team dedicated to making a difference in our customers' day.JOB SUMMARY: As a Courtesy Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a clean and organized store environment. Your role involves assisting customers with bagging groceries, retrieving carts, and maintaining cleanliness in the store. Join us in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our customers to enjoy their shopping experience.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:Greet customers with a friendly smile and offer assistance as needed.Bag groceries for customers, ensuring items are packed carefully and efficiently.Assist customers by taking their groceries out to their car.Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to the store.Assist customers with locating products and answering inquiries about store services.Maintain cleanliness in the store, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash bins and cleaning bathrooms.Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed.Assist in maintaining order and safety in the store, including monitoring for spills and hazards.Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service and safety.Perform any other duties as designated by your department manager.KNOWLEDGE:Basic knowledge of grocery store layout and product locations.Familiarity with customer service principles and practices.Understanding of safety procedures and protocols.SKILLS:Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with customers in a courteous and helpful manner.Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in bagging groceries and maintaining cleanliness in the store.Organization: Skill in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing carts.ABILITIES:Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and handle various tasks as needed.Teamwork: Collaboration with coworkers to achieve common goals and provide excellent service to customers.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address customer needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner.Positive Attitude: A friendly and positive demeanor that contributes to a welcoming atmosphere for customers.Ability to follow directions and instructions given by the department manager.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required.Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and push/pull heavy carts.Excellent communication skills and a willingness to assist others.Consistent and reliable attendance of your scheduled shifts.JOIN OUR TEAM!
