Direct Support Professional /ASL Interpreter

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – American Sign Language (ASL) – Mooresville, NC BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency to provide one‑on‑one care and support for a client with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role involves mentoring, companionship, personal care, and community integration activities. Location Mooresville, NC Schedule Mon – Thurs: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Weekend: 12‑hour shifts Friday – Sunday (shifts may be split) Part‑time & flexible scheduling options available Compensation Starting pay: $19 per hour with weekly pay Sign‑on bonus: $500 total ($200 upon hire; $300 after 30 days) Must be located in NC Benefits Health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) plus FSA and HSA options 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) Employer‑paid life insurance Employee assistance program (EAP) Qualifications At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (training offered through an apprentice program if required) Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred; proficiency required for client communication High school diploma or equivalent Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance (daily hygiene, dressing, bathing, etc.) Accompany clients on errands and appointments Engage in client‑preferred hobbies and activities Assist with meal preparation and other daily tasks Participate in community integration activities to support client independence About Bayada We are a certified, licensed home health care provider dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
