Shipping Receiving Associate

Location: Lexington KY Shift: 1st shift Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Pay : $18.00 - $20.00 based on experience We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join the Shipping and Receiving department. This position is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods, maintaining shipping documentation, organizing inventory, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide shippers with copies of the following day's orders by the end of each workday.
• Assign shipping orders to team members to ensure a balanced workload.
• Assist team members with orders while maintaining overall responsibility for shipment accuracy.
• Review all shipping documentation, including AM and PM reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the milling department as needed.
• Perform a final review of completed orders to verify accuracy and ensure paperwork matches each shipment.
• Ensure the shipping gate is closed and the shipping bay door is locked at the end of each workday.
• Process Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs) and assist with restocking returned items.
• Verify all received items have the correct paperwork signed, dated, and filed in the appropriate receiving bins.
• Ensure received items are properly tagged and placed in their designated locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized stock area, including properly arranging screens on shelves.
• Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other material-handling equipment and report any defects.
• Report panels that may have incorrectly passed Quality Control (QC) to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor shipping supply inventory and notify purchasing when supplies need to be reordered.
• Maintain professional and productive working relationships with coworkers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We Need From You:

• Be at least 18 years of age or older
• Comply with client's substance abuse and background policy
• Must have steady work history
• Work in hot environment during summer months
• Lift up to 50lbs repetitively
• At least 10 years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to review shipping documents and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience coordinating workloads and assisting team members.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and organize stock.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment inspections.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• A dependable work ethic and the ability to work independently.
