Provides assistance in planning, development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems, ensuring alignment with application design phases. Evaluates user requests for new data elements and systems, integrates them into the shared data environment, and offers technical assistance. Coordinates data usage to ensure integrity, control redundancy, and manage database loads and reorganizations. Performs logical, physical, and relational data modeling and prototyping. Implements security recovery procedures, determines storage requirements, and maintains a data dictionary for uniform definitions. Monitors performance, recommends efficiency improvements, and creates test environments for application development. Executes procedures to safeguard data during hardware and software failures, supports continuous monitoring, and assists with database security standards and agency disaster recovery procedures. Aids in software installation, database design, benchmarking, threshold testing, and database security controls. Contributes to the selection, acquisition, and deployment of database management software. Experience in computer systems analysis or programming, knowledge of computer operations, systems design, cost estimating, programming languages, flowcharting, database structures, theories, and current technologies is required. Working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies is essential.
