Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
• Install, repair, and upgrade electrical systems including wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NEC standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on residential or small commercial projects
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing equipment effectively during inspections and repairs
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records

Requirements

• Proven experience as a residential electrician with knowledge of electrical systems in homes
• Prior experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems is a plus
• Strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical codes
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and schematics accurately
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools like multimeters and circuit testers
• Experience working with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and medium-voltage wiring preferred
• Familiarity with construction site procedures including renovation projects and framing carpentry is advantageous
• Looking for a wireman license "residential journeyman's license" or an EE98J
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and proper use of hand tools and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments
