Assignment Length: 13 Weeks with possible extension

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8 Days)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend on-call (Saturday or Sunday only)
• Weekday on-call required twice per week (4:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
• Holidays worked as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures for adult and geriatric patients.
• Conduct nuclear cardiology studies, including pharmacological stress testing.
• Perform bone scans, HIDA scans, V/Q scans, gastric emptying studies, MUGA scans, renal flow studies, thyroid imaging, liver/spleen scans, and other specialty procedures.
• Prepare, handle, and safely administer radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety guidelines.
• Start and maintain IV access for imaging procedures.
• Operate GE Nuclear Medicine and SPECT/CT imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Equipment & Procedures

You'll work with advanced GE Nuclear Medicine systems, including SPECT/CT (GE CTG850) , performing:

• Nuclear stress testing
• Bone scans
• HIDA scans
• V/Q scans
• Gastric emptying studies
• MUGA scans
• Renal imaging
• Thyroid studies
• Liver and spleen imaging
• Biliary studies
• Lymph node injections
• Amyloid imaging

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • Candidates with 1 year of strong, independent experience may also be considered.
• Active ARRT (N) Certification
• Active ARRT (R) Certification
• Active NMTCB Certification
• Active Maryland State License (or eligibility as required)
• Active AHA BLS Certification
• Strong independent experience performing nuclear medicine procedures with minimal orientation required.
• Experience using Epic EMR preferred.

• Teaching or community hospital experience
• Nuclear cardiology experience
• Venipuncture and IV placement
• High-volume outpatient and inpatient imaging
• Experience with GE Nuclear Medicine equipment
