Job Title: Endo/GI Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN license (Compact State or WI) Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Pre/post experience in endoscopy or GI procedures - Experience with conscious sedation - Advanced GI case experience is preferred Description: Department: Endo GI Unit Number of procedure rooms: 10 (8 outpatient, 2 inpatient) Average number of cases per day: 30 Common cases include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, dilations, and food impactions Shifts are 10-hour days, and nurses are expected to stay late as needed to complete necessary cases Nurses will take weekend and holiday call in rotation based on experience with conscious sedation and advanced cases Call response time is 45-60 minutes There are no floating requirements Facility supplies scrubs Unit-specific orientation will be provided Cancellations may occur with prior notice Charting system used is Cerner
