$165 per hourFeast & Fettle
Feast & Fettle is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Senior Manager to join our Culinary Operations team. This is an onsite role based in East Providence, RI with a 6am - 2pm Sunday - Thursday work week. The FSQA Senior Manager position is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing and maintaining a world-class food safety culture across all operations. They own the full scope of the company’s food safety and quality systems: internal FSQA programs, Supplier Quality Management, Sanitation Programming and the Food Safety Management System (FSMS). Reporting into Culinary Operations, this role is both strategic and hands-on—driving compliance, continuous improvement, and a proactive culture of quality throughout each facility and supply chain. What is Feast & Fettle? Feast & Fettle is the fastest-growing meal delivery service in the Northeast—and that momentum comes from a team of smart, kind people who show up to build, not just keep up. We move with urgency, sweat the right details, and bring care to everything we touch. What began in 2016 as a private chef’s side hustle has grown into a company serving thousands of households, with a mission that’s both simple and personal: to nourish everyday life. That mission shows up in every detail—from how we source ingredients and plan our weekly menus to the care in every delivery and the trust we build at our Members’ tables. We care for our people the same way we care for our Members—with consistency, thoughtfulness, and a constant drive to raise the standard. We invest in our team because we know: when you’re supported, you do your best work—and help us do ours. What You’ll Own: This role has accountability across three interconnected pillars: Food Safety Management: GMP, HACCP, SSOP, sanitation, internal auditing, regulatory compliance Internal Quality Systems: CAPA program, product complaints, QMS documentation, KPI tracking and reporting Sanitation : High Level Department Management, Master Sanitation Schedule Compliance, Environmental Swabbing, Third Party Sanitation Compliance. What You’ll Do: Food Safety Program Ownership Continuously improve Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across each facility Deploy, maintain and update the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) program, including pest control, chemical control, and cleaning schedules Advise on and strengthen raw material and RTE sanitation controls and product flow to reduce cross-contamination risk Enhance SOPs governing cooling, time-temperature controls, and other critical safety parameters Own the facility HACCP plan: maintain, validate, and update as needed for menu, process, or regulatory changes Lead FSQA floor presence—observe operations, coach employees in real time, and drive accountability Supplier Quality Management Manage and Update a supplier qualification and approval program, including vendor onboarding requirements and documentation standards Establish and maintain raw material specifications, Certificate of Analysis (COA) review protocols, and incoming inspection criteria Build and maintain a supplier scorecard and performance management process; drive root cause and corrective action for supplier-sourced non-conformances Partner with Procurement and Receiving to ensure supplier compliance requirements are embedded in purchasing decisions Internal Quality Management System Own the CAPA program: ensure all product issues, complaints, and non-conformances are tracked, investigated, and closed with appropriate root cause analysis Manage product complaints end-to-end—from intake through resolution—ensuring documented corrective actions and trend visibility Develop and maintain the QMS documentation library: SOPs, work instructions, forms, and records in alignment with regulatory and certification requirements Build and report on FSQA KPIs—including audit scores, CAPA close rates, complaint trends, and supplier performance—to senior leadership Maintain all required company certifications (e.g., ServSafe, SQF, or equivalent) and manage third-party audit relationships, across all sites Sanitation Program Own the CAPA program: ensure all sanitation issues, complaints, and non-conformances are tracked, investigated, and closed with appropriate root cause analysis Continuously improve Sanitation Programs according to Industry standards and Regulatory Requirements Manage Compliance to Sanitation Programming Advise and Adhere to budgetary requirements Training & Culture Design and deliver food safety training programs for all food-handling employees, including onboarding, refreshers, and targeted coaching Serve as the internal subject matter expert and resource on food safety regulations, best practices, and emerging risks Build a proactive food safety culture by translating regulatory language into practical, accessible standards that resonate with a diverse workforce Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership Lead, develop, and grow the FSQA team; set clear expectations, provide coaching, and build department capacity Partner with R&D, Culinary, Production, Sanitation, Procurement, and Facilities to integrate food safety into daily operations and new initiatives Provide FSQA input on new product launches, process changes, and facility expansions What We’re Looking For: The FSQA Senior Manager is a highly visible, cross-functional leader. You will be expected to operate with equal fluency in the details of a sanitation log and the executive summary of a KPI dashboard. You bring structure without bureaucracy, accountability without blame, and subject matter authority with the humility to listen and learn. You will mentor your team, partner with peers across operations, and represent food safety as a value—not just a compliance requirement. Must-Haves: Subject matter expertise in food safety: HACCP plan development and management, GMP implementation, and regulatory compliance (FDA, state/local health) 5+ years of food safety or quality management experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or large-scale food production environment Demonstrated experience building or significantly improving a CAPA program and quality management system Proven track record in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving Experience managing supplier quality programs, including vendor qualification and non-conformance management Strong documentation discipline and process-driven mindset Ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable while fostering a positive, improvement-oriented culture Flexibility to travel between RI & MD worksites 1-2x per month Nice-to-Haves: SQF Practitioner, PCQI certification, or equivalent food safety management system credential Experience managing a third-party audit process (SQF, BRC, AIB, or similar) Familiarity with ERP or food safety software platforms for documentation and traceability Background in commissary, meal kit, or prepared foods manufacturing We believe leadership should mirror the diversity of our team — in lived experiences, cultural perspectives, and ways of thinking — and we’ll give preference to candidates who can truly connect with and represent our people. What you get: $100,000 - $110,00 annually Here, you’ll find comprehensive benefits that make a difference in your daily well-being, along with a safe, welcoming, and energized workplace culture committed to providing the opportunity for every team member to thrive. We provide medical, dental, and vision coverage (with 70% of your monthly premium paid by F&F), accrued paid time off totaling three weeks in your first year (and increasing with tenure), and a 401(k) retirement plan. All employees enjoy a free Feast & Fettle membership—$165 worth of our fully prepared menu items every week—plus paid parental leave, an annual $1,000 professional development benefit, and a monthly wellness reimbursement you can use for anything that supports your well-being, from gym memberships to therapy copays. #J-18808-Ljbffr Feast & Fettle
