The opportunities are endless.Position SummaryMD Landscaping is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our landscape company's maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing thorough preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections, including servicing, greasing, brake work, and general mechanical checks.Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on both new and older fleet equipment.Conduct corrective repairs and component overhauls such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic valve bodies.Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment, including:Dump trucksTransport trucks and trailersLoadersExcavatorsSkid steersAdditional heavy equipment as neededExecute field maintenance and on-site repairs when required.Document work completed and communicate equipment status with supervisors and team members.Work independently and manage tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.Qualifications & RequirementsProven experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic.Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.Self-motivated with strong time-management and communication skills.Must supply a personal basic tool set and toolbox; specialty shop tools will be provided.Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a large, diverse fleet.The Perks401(k) plan with company matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceFSA/HSAPerkSpotLong-Term Disability and Life InsurancePaid time OffTuition Reimbursement (after one year of service)Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
