Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2+ years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience.

Details

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting with Hybrid OR capability
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Adult patient population
• 4x10 hour day shifts, either 7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM
• On-call required every 4 to 5 weekends
• Uses Epic charting system
• Special equipment includes Impella, IABP, Angio-Seal/Avigo, IVUS, Coroflow, Rotablator, and Coronary/Peripheral Lithotripsy
• Additional equipment includes fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, and ultrasound

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab required
• ARRT (R) or RCIS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in procedural responsibilities including EKG lead placement, vascular closure systems, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile technique
• Experience with left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion required
• Experience with vascular studies including angioplasty, stent placement, and angiography required
• 2 valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, IABP, and Impella insertion
• Responsibilities include room circulator duties, scrubbing/maintaining sterile field, equipment setup, and accurate hemodynamic monitoring
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• Maintain equipment and inventory per facility protocols
• First-time travelers accepted with required 2 years of specialty experience
• Scrubs provided
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a different rate
