Winkler Kurtz, LLP, a Port Jefferson Station law firm seeks a Matrimonial Associate Attorney to assist and be involved in all aspects of matrimonial and family law litigation.

The ideal candidate will have 3 plus years of experience in practicing Matrimonial and Family Law, strong writing skills, be admitted to the Bar in New York State as of the start date of employment and desire to work in a firm that prides itself on providing high quality representation to all their clients through hard work and dedication. The firm itself offers a collegial and comfortable atmosphere while encouraging diligence and self-motivation.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Counsel clients on family and matrimonial legal issues

·         Represent your clients in the courtroom

·         Negotiate agreements between parties

·         Conduct research and compile evidence for your case

·         Interview all those involved in the case

Requirements and Qualifications

·         3 years or more in practicing Matrimonial and Family Law

·         J.D. degree

·         Good standing member of the Bar or be admitted to the Bar in NY as of start of employment date 

·         Courtroom or legal research experience, preferably in family law

·         Strong communication and organizational skills
