Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to lead daily warehouse shipping, receiving, staging, material movement, and inventory control activities for our Fort Worth operation. This role is responsible for keeping freight, modules, components, tools, and materials organized, accurate, and ready to support production and field deployment schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily shipping, receiving, staging, loading, unloading, and material handling activities.

Lead and coordinate warehouse employees, forklift operators, material handlers, and temporary labor as needed.

Receive inbound freight, verify counts, inspect for damage, and ensure paperwork is accurate.

Prepare outbound shipments, coordinate loading priorities, and support just-in-time delivery to field locations.

Maintain organized staging areas for modules, parts, ship-loose kits, tools, and project materials.

Work with operations, logistics, production, quality, and field teams to make sure the right material ships at the right time.

Track shortages, damaged freight, missing materials, and delivery issues; communicate problems quickly to leadership.

Ensure safe forklift operation, proper load securement, housekeeping, and compliance with company safety procedures.

Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, labeling, documentation, and material location control.

Train employees on receiving process, staging expectations, loading standards, and warehouse safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or material handling supervision experience preferred.

Experience with forklifts, telehandlers, oversized freight, heavy equipment, or construction/manufacturing materials is a plus.

Strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.

Ability to read packing lists, bills of lading, shipping documents, material lists, and basic project paperwork.

Able to lead a small team in a fast-paced warehouse or production support environment.

Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.

Must be safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working around large equipment and heavy materials.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a working supervisor who can lead from the floor, keep materials organized, communicate clearly with operations and logistics, and make sure shipments are accurate, safe, and ready when needed.

Work Environment

Warehouse, yard, production, and shipping/receiving environment.

May require lifting, standing, walking, operating equipment, and working around heavy freight and large modular components.

Overtime may be required based on production schedules, shipment deadlines, and project needs.
