With a culture that prioritizes professional development through internal training programs and a path toward senior leadership, this position offers the perfect blend of technical autonomy and career-defining ownership.Core ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of complex HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring every element is precise, efficient, and integrated.Navigate the full project lifecycle, managing timelines and design communications to ensure deliverables exceed client expectations and technical requirements.Act as the primary technical liaison in client meetings, providing expert guidance on codes, standards, site surveys, and construction administration.Execute rigorous QA/QC processes and produce high-fidelity construction documents, load calculations, and specifications ready for permitting.Onboard and mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.Support the preparation of engineering agreements and proposals, aligning technical scope with the firm's standards and project goals.Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams to refine workflows, optimize cost management, and drive overall project efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3–5+ years of progressive experience within a mechanical engineering or MEP consulting environment.Advanced command of Revit and AutoCAD for the production of complex construction documents.Deep understanding of HVAC fundamentals, engineering drafting standards, and building codes.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.Preferred QualificationsActive Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification on track for licensure.Proven experience managing multidisciplinary coordination and complex project schedules.Specialized knowledge in high-efficiency HVAC design and integrated fire protection systems.About RTM Engineering ConsultantsRTM Engineering Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering and design firm with a national reach and a boutique feel.
