Manufacturing Project Engineer

FlexTrades is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead engineering projects supporting aerospace fluid management and rotating equipment products. This role will drive qualification and validation efforts, coordinate testing programs, analyze performance data, and work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams. These projects will focus on rotating mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors, turbines, compressors, and similar systems.

Contract Details:

Pay: $65.00 per hour

Guaranteed 50 hours weekly (10 hrs OT weekly paid at 1.5x hourly rate)

FlexTrades has paid travel time, lodging, and per diem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from requirements review through testing, validation, and implementation
• Develop test plans, procedures, and technical reports
• Coordinate qualification and verification testing activities
• Analyze test data and provide engineering recommendations
• Support FMEA, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
• Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to improve product performance and reliability

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of engineering project leadership experience
• Strong experience with qualification, validation, and test programs
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and define technical requirements
• Experience writing test procedures, conducting data analysis, and authoring technical reports
• FMEA and risk assessment experience
• Background with rotating mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors, turbines, compressors, or similar systems
• Preferred background in: Aerospace, defense, fluid power, or industrial equipment experience
• Preferred experience with Positive displacement pump experience (gear, vane, gerotor, etc.)

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay: $65.00 per hour
• Guaranteed 10 hours OT pay each week. Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half

• Per diem ($45/day)
• Must meet drug test requirements
