We are currently seeking a Geologist Intern for the Western Region Subsurface department located in our Dallas, TX office. This is a paid summer internship opportunity with housing provided if needed. Responsibilities Subsurface geological interpretation of the Williston Basin, ND & MT, focusing on the mixed carbonate Bakken-Three Forks Fms. Student will perform geological tasks related to exploration and development of unconventional resources within a cross‑discipline team. Such tasks will include petrophysical analysis, structural and stratigraphic mapping, creation of development plans, and data science analyses. If the opportunity presents, student will experience geosteering/drilling operations. Required Degree Background Pursuing a Thesis-Option master’s in Geoscience Minimum of 3.0 grade point average Required Skills/Knowledge Currently pursuing a thesis-option Master’s in geoscience Proficiency in ArcGIS or other mapping software Strong understanding of stratigraphy and sedimentology Data science experience, preferred Petrophysics/well log analysis, preferred Abilities/Behaviors Computer literacy Pattern recognition and logic problem solving Listening acuity and attention to detail in work product Excellent work ethic Presentation and communication skills are a must Ability to work in an integrated, multidisciplinary team Ability to manage multiple tasks & areas of responsibility concurrently Company Highlights For 90 years, we have nurtured creative ideas and turned them into successful realities using three core strategic pillars – creativity, excellence, and people.
