We are seeking a Loadmaster to join our Mission Aviation Services team in Greensboro, NC . Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Loadmaster, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Develop and validate aircraft load plans to ensure accurate weight and balance, proper cargo placement and restraint, load-limit compliance, and overall safety of flight; review load plans and Notices to Captain with the Pilot-in-Command prior to flight.
• Coordinate with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Pilot-in-Command to determine appropriate cargo weight and placement based on aircraft limitations, destination, and fuel requirements, and oversee the safe loading and securing of cargo.
• Deploy with aircraft missions as needed to oversee loading and offloading operations at deployed locations, including hazardous materials and special cargo in accordance with Samaritan's Purse policies and applicable requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable FAA, General Operations Manual (GOM), safety, security, and hazardous materials requirements, including participation in special cargo load analysis and verification of required positioning and restraint.
• Train and supervise loadmasters, load builders, and volunteers in load planning, cargo loading/offloading, and special cargo operations; assist with the management, inspection, and readiness of Samaritan's Purse loading equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree from a college or university, and four (4) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience loading aircraft, as well as operating warehouse and ground equipment required.
• Broad understanding of aviation Loadmaster responsibilities, including operating equipment around aircraft, and comprehensive knowledge of requirements for transporting Dangerous Goods (Hazardous Materials) by air.
• Strong commitment to safety and service, with the ability to maintain professionalism, demonstrate confidence and sound judgment, and protect confidential and sensitive flight and organizational information.
• Ability to think critically, make sound decisions, work independently, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and adapt effectively to changing operational requirements.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others in dynamic operational environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web browsers, and other applicable software systems.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel: This position requires approximately 50-100 days of domestic and international travel per year. Maintaining required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary.
