About the Role
We are a small roofing company looking for a dependable roofer or roofing helper to work on an on-call, as needed basis. This is not a full time position. When we land a job, we will reach out with details, and you can accept or pass. Work may be a single day or several days in a row, depending on the project.
What You'll Do
- Tear off old shingles, underlayment, and flashing
- Install new shingles, underlayment, drip edge, and flashing
- Carry and move materials up ladders and onto roofs
- Help with small repairs and leak fixes
- Keep the job site clean, including magnet sweeps and debris cleanup
- Follow fall-protection and safety practices at all times
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of roofing experience preferred (helpers with some construction experience will be considered)
- Comfortable working at heights and in hot and cold weather
- Able to lift 50-80 lbs and climb latters repeatedly
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Your own basic hand tools (hammer, utility knife, tape, tool belt) is a plus
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required
- Must answer calls/texts promptly and show up on time
Pay and Schedule
- Experienced Roofer: $240-$260 per day (about $30-$32/hr for an 8-hour day
- Roofing Helper/Laborer: $160-$200 per day (about $20-$25/hr)
- Payment: Paid [Daily /weekly / at end of the job]
- Typical Day: 7:00 AM start, 8-10 hours depending on the job
- Hours: Work is as needed with no guaranteed minimum hours
