1st shift Production Lead

Kringle Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to produce quality Kringle according to production standards and demands under the guidance and direction of the Baking Supervisor.
• Ability to lead the Dough and Kringle Line teams (approximately 12 team members) through daily production needs and operations.
• Engage team members; work with other managers, supervisors and Human Resources to facilitate positive relationships with team members.
• Assist the Baking Supervisor in overseeing the integrity and production of Kringle sold in retail stores, wholesale and mail order.
• Assist Baking Supervisor in overseeing daily dough production and quality.
• Work to optimize operational efficiencies while ensuring the company's high-quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Ensure that all workers on team are trained and adhere to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Ensure that all workers on team are trained and adhere to the company's HACCP and other food safety procedures.
• Navigate, operate, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment required for the kringle line operations.
• Within the guidelines of the company's maintenance program, work to troubleshoot any issues and involve maintenance to ensure equipment is available for use when needed and properly maintained.
• Ensure daily/weekly orders are being filled accurately.
• Build up team members to ensure the team functions as well or better in the absence of their supervisor as when the supervisor is present.
• Be willing to help other departments when in need to help carry out our mission on a daily basis.
• Other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Leadership Experience in Food Service and/or Manufacturing environment strongly desired
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong Math skills, including but not limited to the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without the aid of a calculator
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to speak Spanish desired, but not required
• Ability to obtain information and take a proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to lead staff members in a collaborative and encouraging manner

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout shift
• Comfortable standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of an entire shift
• Ability to complete repetitive motions throughout designated shift
• Ability to Stand or Walk for extended periods of time throughout shift

Working conditions:

• FDA-classified "major allergens" are processed in our facilities, including: milk, eggs, wheat, soy, tree nuts, sesame seeds. Incumbent must be able to work in an environment with changing temperatures from 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Incumbent may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, loud equipment and machines, and other environmental hazards associated with a production or warehouse facility.
