Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Professional Counselor at our organization, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of therapeutic practices, including but not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Facilitating evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, groups, couples, and families, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and supportive treatment across various client demographics.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Engaging in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay current with advancements in mental health research and best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our client base is diverse, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship challenges. You will have the opportunity to specialize in various areas, such as family therapy or trauma-informed care, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys with empathy and respect.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
- Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, demonstrating a proven track record of effective client engagement.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with a specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, or substance misuse treatment will be given preference, as these areas have high demand within our client population.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $110,000 annually, with opportunities for bonuses to reward your contributions.
