Patient Access RepresentativeThe Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and efficient patient registration services for Shriners Hospitals for Children. This role ensures accurate collection of demographic and insurance information, facilitates patient flow, and upholds the hospital's commitment to compassionate care.Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming calls into the main operator line of the facilityGreets and directs patients/families presenting for appointments and treatmentAccurately enters and updates patient information into the computer systemEnters and updates patient's insurance informationPerforms check-in of patients who arrive for scheduled appointments or admissionsPrepares and secures signatures on required treatment and billing authorization formsScans necessary documents into the EHR systemVerifies insurance coverage for all patients receiving servicesRequired QualificationsHigh School diplomaPreferred QualificationsBilingual1 year experience in scheduling and registration1 year receptionist/switchboard experienceCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
