• Setting: Large academic hospital - perioperative and procedural anesthesia coverage

Required Qualifications - CRNA / Nurse Anesthetist

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
• Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience required (anesthesia experience in general/regional cases preferred)
• Active Pennsylvania state license required (IMLC not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an anesthesia care team
• References required upon submission

Primary Responsibilities - Locum Tenens Anesthesia

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care across a broad case mix including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics (ages 5+), endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT
• Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia; perform history & physical and obtain informed consent
• Administer general anesthesia, spinal/regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
• Perform invasive monitoring and line placement (CVP/CVC, intra-arterial lines) and advanced airway management
• Conduct pre-anesthetic and post-operative assessments and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate under medical direction with anesthesiologists; typical CRNA/anesthesiologist ratios of 2:1 or 3:1
