Slot Attendant
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to guests and promote positive guest relations.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Responds to guest requests, provides information and assists guests in a timely manner.
- Assists guests on how to play and read machines.
- Responsible for filling empty machine hoppers and contacting security according to operating procedures.
- Delivers all hand payouts or jackpots to guests after completion of all necessary forms in relationship to hand payouts or jackpots.
- Performs minor slot machine maintenance and repairs such as unjamming hoppers or repairing minor slot machine malfunctions.
- Ensures compliance with State, NIGA regulations and Minimal Internal Control Standards.
- Notifies supervisor, security or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision received includes direction and supervision from the Slot Supervisor and Slot Manager or Slot Assistant Manager on a daily basis.
Position relationships include frequent contact with associates at all levels within all departments of the organization and continual and extensive contact with guests and visitors.
Education: A High School education or equivalent. Experience: Experience in a customer focused environment is required. Prior experience within a gaming environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge, skills and abilities include excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Must be able to accurately handle money and exhibit basic math skills. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary. Experience with PC's and related software is preferred.
Working environment includes exposure to differentials in temperature, spills, wet floors, or guest behaviors, and physical requirements such as walking, sitting, standing, bending or lifting for extended periods of time.
License requirements include being able to be licensed by the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Gaming Commission.
Behaviors include performing in both a professional and personable manner, respect and consideration given to the dignity of each guest, visitor and fellow employee.
Other requirements include the ability to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays and be available for call in to work on short notice. Must attend all mandatory meetings and departmental training and development sessions.
