Packaging Coordinator

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Summary: The Packaging Coordinator works under the direction of the Packaging Lead & Manager to help assist in the day-to-day running of the Packaging Department to include directing the work of other Packaging Associates. The Packaging Coordinator may also assist the Packaging Manager with special projects and customer relations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of Packaging Assemblers to ensure accurate and timely assembly of packaging goods
• QA checks to ensure accuracy of builds according to company QA requirements
• Notifying the Warehouse Manager of damaged goods and appropriately transferring in system and physically tagging/segregating materials
• Assist in training new employees
• Assist in ensuring employee safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
• Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed and reports any issues to management
• Troubleshooting issues on the production floor
• Reports on any process and equipment problems

Qualifications: 
Required:

• 3+ years previous production experience
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to learn company software

Preferred:

• Previous leadership experience preferred
