Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Device Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Westford, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in medical device assembly, manufacturing, production, electronics, or regulated environments who want to build valuable experience in a high-quality, precision-focused setting.

In this role, you will assemble, repair, inspect, and test medical devices while following standardized procedures and strict quality requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working with small components, and committed to producing accurate, traceable work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair, inspect, and test medical devices and related components.
• Perform routine manufacturing assignments according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision.
• Maintain accurate traveler, production, and quality documentation.
• Ensure all parts and materials remain traceable throughout the manufacturing process.
• Use electronic data collection systems and computer software to document production activities.
• Communicate production issues, ideas, and possible solutions clearly to supervisors and manufacturing leadership.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Support Lean Manufacturing principles and cell performance goals.
• Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach when working with internal teams and visitors.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to handle small parts and components accurately.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on timing and importance.
• Ability to make sound decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accurate documentation.
• Ability to comply with manufacturing gowning, dress code, and contamination-control requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Previous medical device manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience maintaining production and quality documentation.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing systems or production data collection tools.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable handling small components, performing repetitive precision tasks, maintaining detailed documentation, and following strict safety and quality procedures.

Production attire must meet site requirements, including clean, non-shedding clothing, appropriate footwear, and restrictions on loose garments, jewelry, cosmetics, fragrances, artificial nails, and other potential contamination or safety risks.
