Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CDP Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable customer data pipelines and integrations supporting Customer Data Platform (CDP) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, customer data integration, identity resolution, audience activation, and cloud-based data platforms.

The role will work closely with Data Engineering, Marketing Technology, Analytics, CRM, and Digital teams to ingest and unify customer data from multiple sources and enable trusted, actionable customer profiles for personalization, analytics, and omnichannel activation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting customer data into the CDP from multiple source systems.
• Build and manage batch and real-time/streaming data integrations .
• Integrate data from CRM, web, mobile applications, transactional systems, marketing platforms, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop data transformation, cleansing, standardization, and enrichment processes.
• Design and maintain customer data models, schemas, datasets, and data mappings.
• Support creation and maintenance of unified customer profiles across multiple data sources.
• Implement identity resolution, identity stitching, and customer matching processes.
• Develop integrations for activating customer audiences across marketing and engagement platforms.
• Build and maintain APIs, connectors, and data exchange mechanisms between the CDP and downstream systems.
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot ingestion failures, data quality issues, schema mismatches, and integration problems.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and data quality controls.
• Optimize pipelines for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with business and marketing teams to translate customer data requirements into technical solutions.
• Work closely with analytics and activation teams to ensure datasets and audiences are available for segmentation, personalization, and campaign execution.
• Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, mappings, integrations, and data models.
• Follow enterprise standards for data governance, security, privacy, consent, and access management.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Data Engineering and ETL/ELT development .
• Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)/Real-Time CDP, Salesforce Data Cloud, Tealium, Segment, Treasure Data, or similar platforms .
• Strong experience with SQL and data transformation.
• Programming experience with Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages .
• Experience developing batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or Event Hubs .
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and API-based integrations.
• Strong understanding of customer data models, schemas, identity management, and profile unification.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent.
• Understanding of data quality, lineage, governance, security, and privacy principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4–8 years of overall data engineering experience , with hands-on experience implementing or supporting CDP solutions.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Real-Time CDP is highly desirable.
• Experience integrating CDPs with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and digital experience platforms.
• Familiarity with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar activation platforms is a plus.
• Understanding of PII handling, consent management, and customer data privacy regulations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
