Job Description:

We are seeking a Unit Secretary for Baptist Health Floyd, Progressive Care Unit. This part-time position offers 24 hours weekly in the mid-shift from 8:30am to 9pm and is benefit eligible.

Job Duties:

The Unit Secretary will function as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.

About the Unit:

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. The unit specializes in cardiovascular care but also encounters a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. Nurses work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous unit secretary experience preferred. High school diploma/equivalent preferred, not required.
