Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Travel Contract (Part-Time)

South Miami, FL | Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation

Schedule / Job Type

Part-Time | Contract (13 Weeks) | Days, including Weekends | Start Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Projected Start: September 28, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services within a 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation setting across multiple floors
• Evaluate and treat adult patients with neurological and other complex diagnoses, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic conditions
• Address communication, cognitive, swallowing, and related functional deficits as part of individualized rehabilitation plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care
• Utilize specialized rehabilitation equipment such as Hoyer lifts, vector systems, and LiteGait as appropriate to patient needs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Active and appropriate state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required
• Graduate of an accredited university Speech-Language Pathology program
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is required
• Ability to work day shifts including weekends
• Expected weekly hours: 20 hours per week

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience treating neurological patient populations, including stroke and brain injury
• Familiarity with inpatient rehab patient ratios (1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 care models)
• Collaborative, self-starting, and problem-solving approach to patient care
