Location: Fort Wright, KY

Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Work Environment: 100% Onsite

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accountant III for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Fort Wright, KY. This fully onsite position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of key accounting functions. The selected candidate will support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable processes while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and account analysis

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Assist with accounts payable activities and related accounting functions

• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger

• Provide support for audits and financial reporting requirements

• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manipulate, reconcile, and analyze accounting information

• Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations

• Experience supporting month-end close activities

• Intercompany accounting experience preferred

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, formulas, and data analysis

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing industry experience

• ERP system experience

• Audit support experience

• Experience working in a multi-entity accounting environment
