Summary of the Job: The primary responsibility of an Applications Specialist is interfacing clients to understand their testing requirements and provide accurate, formal quotations. This role serves as a key technical and customer-facing resource, ensuring client needs are clearly defined and effectively translated into test solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding testing services via email and phone per ATS guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with clients to develop custom test protocols and provide direction and support to inside sales staff.
• Provide clear, professional communication throughout the inquiry and quoting process.
• Prepare quotations for all assigned services using established pricing guidelines, exercising appropriate autonomy.
• Clarify scope and turnaround time with customers and coordinate with lab operations.
• Actively manages sales pipeline (including but not limited to follow-ups and status updates on large active proposals)
• Participate in business development efforts such as client visits
• Develop relationships with key clients and effectively communicate ATS' full capabilities

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Chemistry testing laboratory environment.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in laboratory-related roles.

Necessary Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills
• Strong understanding of Chemistry Testing techniques
• Strong understanding of ASTM and International standards for Chemistry Testing
• Self-Motivated
