Maintenance TechnicianPosition Overview: Technical Professionals Group, a leading provider of technical solutions in automotive testing and validation, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fowlerville, MI. The ideal candidate will have previous management and supervisory experience, along with a strong background in maintaining and operating heavy machinery.Why join TPG:Full benefits package including 401k, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short & long-term disability, vacation, and paid holidaysAttractive work/life balance with a set shift schedule, weekly pay, earning a competitive wage while working in the exciting automotive industry in research and development,A small company approach that recognizes employees as our strongest asset and fosters professional growth in automotive excellence.Responsibilities:Perform maintenance on various heavy machinery used in automotive testing and validation.Operate various heavy machinery safely and efficiently.Conduct facility maintenance, including coordination of repairs and upgrades as needed.Assist with lubrication, oil changes, and guided mechanic maintenance activities.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.Qualifications:Proven experience in managing and supervising maintenance operations (preferred, not required)Technical proficiency in maintaining and operating heavy machinery.Knowledge of facility maintenance practices and procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training preferred.Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in automotive or industrial settings, is advantageous.Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy machinery operations.Physical, Safety and Environmental Job RequirementsStanding, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items of up to 50 lbs. and moreAbility to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levelsThe environment may be dusty, noisy and open to interior temperature changesImportant considerations:This safety-sensitive position requires all persons assigned to the activity to be drug-free and successfully pass drug screening before employment.Company Overview:At Technical Professionals Group, we are a dedicated team of automotive professionals with deep-rooted passion for the automotive industry.
