Asphalt Plant Operator

ASPHALT PLANT OPERATORC.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. Our company is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator for our local operations.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Operate and monitor computerized control systems for both drum and batch asphalt plants to ensure efficient production and compliance with mix specificationsSafely operate asphalt plant equipment and processes while maintaining a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and truck drivers delivering or receiving materialsContinuously monitor plant operations, equipment performance, and material flow throughout production to identify and address operational issues promptlyPerform routine plant inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to help ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimize downtimeAssist the Plant Foreman with daily operational activities, including ordering liquid asphalt, aggregates, plant supplies, repair parts, and transportation servicesAssist with maintaining accurate production records, inventory reports, material usage documentation, and other required operational recordsSupport plant operations by performing a variety of tasks, including monitoring cold feed systems, operating loaders and dozers around stockpiles and bins, and assisting with material handling activitiesPerform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant facility, including the control room, office areas, equipment, and groundsConduct pre-operational equipment inspections and report safety concerns, equipment deficiencies, or maintenance needs to supervisionAdhere to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operational procedures at all timesWork collaboratively with plant personnel, truck drivers, quality control staff, and field operations to ensure production goals and customer requirements are metReceive and process customer payments for asphalt purchases, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions, while maintaining accurate records and following company accounting proceduresPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedRequirements:One plus years of experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be willing to obtain training/certifications as required/neededMust be able to work days, nights, or weekends as neededAble to complete all required paperwork efficientlyMust be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's licenseEmployer conducts drug testing and background checkWe offer competitive salaries and fringe benefits.An Equal Opportunity Employer/AA, DFWP, We Honor Those Who Have Served.Position open until filled.
