Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for stepdown and ICU-level patients; monitor vitals, lines, tubes, and medications; respond to changes in patient condition.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and contribute to developing and updating individualized care plans; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor for adverse effects and document outcomes.
- Document accurately and timely in the EMR (Epic); ensure clear communication of patient status to the care team.
- Float between medical floor, stepdown/ICU, and surgical/oncology units as needed; maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:5 to 1:6).
- Promote patient safety, adherence to protocols, and patient/family education as indicated.

Requirements
- 2 years of Stepdown experience
- Prior travel experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- EMR experience with Epic
- Ability to float across medical floor, stepdown/ICU, and surgical/oncology units
