Introduction

Join our team at *** Global Services, Cabin, Modifications, Maintenance and engage across business units and global design centers. As part of the BGS CMM - Systems Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in certifying and delivering safe and reliable airborne software components, ensuring compliance with the rigorous safety standards set forth by the US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and/or European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
• 3 years' experience in software development life cycles, configuration management, and agile software engineering best practices.
• 3 years' experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
• 3 years' experience leading software development projects.
• Experience with Aviation Standards DO-178C and DO-254.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of higher education and/or related work experience.
• 5 years of experience as or working with Designated Engineering Representative (DER), Technical Standard Order (TSO) Certification Specialist, or EASA/FAA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE).
• Experience across Software Lifecycle Data Items and Software standards such as DO-330 and DO-331.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Generate Software Components (PDIs), User Modifiable Software (UMS), and/or Field Loadable software in response to aircraft level modifications in compliance with DO-178B/C.
• Review and approve suppliers' software lifecycle data throughout software lifecycle processes.
• Oversee and verify the compliance preparation and submission of comprehensive technical documentation required for certification.
