Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
- 3 years' experience in software development life cycles, configuration management, and agile software engineering best practices.
- 3 years' experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- 3 years' experience leading software development projects.
- Experience with Aviation Standards DO-178C and DO-254.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
- 5 years of higher education and/or related work experience.
- 5 years of experience as or working with Designated Engineering Representative (DER), Technical Standard Order (TSO) Certification Specialist, or EASA/FAA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE).
- Experience across Software Lifecycle Data Items and Software standards such as DO-330 and DO-331.
- Generate Software Components (PDIs), User Modifiable Software (UMS), and/or Field Loadable software in response to aircraft level modifications in compliance with DO-178B/C.
- Review and approve suppliers' software lifecycle data throughout software lifecycle processes.
- Oversee and verify the compliance preparation and submission of comprehensive technical documentation required for certification.
- Collaborative and transparent work environment.
- Opportunity to participate in industry working groups to develop industry guidance and standards.
- Engagement with global design centers and suppliers.
