Unit Secretary/Monitor Technician 7 Dean Cardiac Step Down PT Nights Job Summary Performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling, and maintaining records in a hospital nursing unit. Works under the general direction of Nursing and Medical Staff, monitors, evaluates, and documents cardiac rhythm readings. Department & Location Department: 7 Dean Location: Englewood, NJ Schedule Shift: Nights Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am Job Essentials Basic typing skills. Computer literacy. Knowledge of medical abbreviation and terminology. Effective communication skills. Successful completion of the Basic Dysrhythmia Course and annual competency exam. Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring equipment. Ability to sit for long periods during the shift. Direct patient contact for lead placement. Education Requirements High School graduate or equivalent required. License/Certification/Registry Basic Arrhythmia Certification preferred.
