Automation and Controls Technician
The Judge Group
We are seeking an experienced 1st Shift Maintenance Automation & Controls Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing and facility systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC, SCADA, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance experience, along with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, automation, and industrial equipment issues.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment testing.
- Support control system design, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and arc flash procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability.
- 3+ years of experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
- Available for paid overtime
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Engineering, or related
- Experience with SCADA systems and HMI development.
- Electrical maintenance certifications.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or welding systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
