Resource Nurse - (Operating Room) - Full Time Days

Surgical Nurse

Responsible for the planning and completion of surgical cases pertaining to specific specialties in the Operating Room. Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care collaboratively in accordance with his/her scope of nursing practice. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Health. Works collaboratively with Charge Nurses on a daily basis to facilitate surgical cases and maintains/monitors supplies/equipment as they relate to their specialties.

Qualifications

Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two to three years Nursing experience required. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications of Basic Life Support (BLS).

Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association
