Registered Nurse - Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), including every other weekend and holidays as needed. Float required across facilities.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in remote monitoring and be capable of managing a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, particularly in a stroke (neuro) population setting.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient telemetry and respond to telemetry alarms as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Access and manage ports and administer blood products as required.
• Perform central and peripheral line care, including PICC line management and starting IVs.
• Provide patient care regarding feeding tube management and respiratory treatments, including nasal cannula.
• Maintain adherence to infection control policies and wound care protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate effective patient communication and education techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a telemetry nursing role.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid RN license required at the time of submission.
• Proficient in using Epic as the electronic health record system.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6.
