Pharmacy Technician | Grand Rapids, Michigan

Pharmacy Technician
A retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations with a focus on accuracy and customer service. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity in a structured retail environment, utilizing Pioneer RX computer systems.
Responsibilities:
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient queries and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Support daily pharmacy operations during assigned shifts
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
- Rotating start times of 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:30 am
- Pharmacy closes at 6:00 pm on Fridays
- Initially no weekend shifts; weekend work may be required in the future
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license is required
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail environment
- Familiarity with the Pioneer RX system is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible rotating start times as scheduled

- Position is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Compensation:
- Starting pay is $21 per hour
