Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and be capable of working on the obstetric floor, providing couplet care, and caring for patients recovering from hysterectomies.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum settings.
• Deliver couplet care to mothers and newborns.
• Cater to the needs of patients undergoing hysterectomy procedures, utilizing basic medical-surgical nursing skills.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Ability to provide care in obstetric and postpartum settings.
• Basic medical-surgical skills for caring for hysterectomy patients.

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring

Preferred Certifications

• STABLE certification

Additional Information

The position involves working a schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Flexibility regarding requested time off is available, but candidates should be prepared to work at least one holiday during the contract period. Orientation will be conducted bi-weekly for new hires. Scrubs will be provided for all shifts.
