Application Systems Analyst (on-site)

Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Responsibilities Prepares detailed specifications of component level requirements that are fully traceable to system level requirements. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary, to understand basic root-cause of issues and propose possible solutions within current systems. Researches and fact-finds to formulate and define systems scope and objectives, as well as modify moderately complex information systems. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to end-users. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis activities, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases. Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills. An understanding of software development lifecycle. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to receive work direction from direct and indirect leadership. Proficiency using CASE tools for designing and implementing applications. Experience working in an environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, etc.). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Education Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Experience Two (2) years of experience in systems analysis/programming activities in a business environment is required.
