Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $16.90 - $24.90. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring team members are current on their individual training. Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed in an efficient and friendly manner, refunds are issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged in the returns area correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Ensure that Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned. Make sure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain approvals for changes or deviations from management, and record clock‑in/clock‑out accurately. Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money and deposits according to company policy, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, securing the building, arming and disarming security alarms, and checking and securing delivery vehicles parked in a secure designated area. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
